Hi there well the month of being spotlight Designer at Scrappin Digi Kreations seems to be going well, I have been busy designing more little packs, mix and match items so you can more tightly control what you want in your layout without getting tons of stuff you don't want or need. Keeping the costs lower is a bonus too, smaller pack smaller price, smaller download too so great for those on dialup internet access.
Thought I would release a freebie here today though. Ihad been working on these .asl styles for a while and put them on a back burner whilst doing something else. Now I have packaged them up for you to play with. They have a seamless tiled bg file and although each is a seperate color the file remains small...yippee. Created at 300dpi for printing the style looks amazing when the pattern is enlarged. Download Potty for Dots style for photoshop and have fun with it. It definitely works in cs3 and therefore will in ps7 upwards, I am not sure about elements, but will let you know when I find out myself. Still its FREE and a small file so nothing lost if you try it out.

Slow down.....

Well never seem to get a post done these days, yknow, family stuff, aging parents in need of assistance. Not that I begrudge a minute of my time spent with them. They have raised me up, set me on a course in life that has stood me in good stead despite the 'all' life throws at me. I love them dearly for the patience they have shown me over the years, the troubles they have soothed, the 'putting me straight' when I needed it. They have never shown despair of me even though in my younger headstrong years, i caused them grief. Now is time for me to return the love, patience and kindness they have shown me by showing it to them in their time of need. In fact I think it is an honor and priviledge that I am able to do this for them.
Mom has Alzheimers dementia/Lewys Bodies Dementia (not sure which) and has suffered a series of mini strokes over the last few weeks that have put her in hospital for the forseeable future. This after aalmost 50 years of severe bipolar disorder that has from time to time devastated the family.
Dad also in his late 70's is just recovering from cancer too. He has been brave and apart from his weakness when undetrgoing treatment hasn't failed to care for Mom.
Of course us 3 girls (Haha I'm 50 , my sisters are49 and 46) have been there for them too rallying round in one way or another since the onset of Moms bipolar, we are still there for them. Despite living far apart from them we are still quite a close knit family.
It's a fact that our parents give us life, we would not be without them, we need to honor them with at the least respect, Love understanding and patience come naturally when there is mutual respect. Most of all it is a command from our Grand Creator and Instructor on life.

Got a bit of a special on at DigiScrapStation
Got a bit of a special on at DigiScrapStation
This month or at least what is left of it I have a bit of a special on at Digiscrapstation. There is either 40-60% off some or most of my older kits, a couple of my newer kits are on offer too, plus selected Commercial Use products are all at $1.20 until the end of the month of October. So go visit Sue Wood Designs at DSS and grab them while you can, plus don't forget the freebies there as well.
My new kit is Old Stuff, an eclectic mix of bits and bobs to put together heritage style or grunge style pages. Plenty of old and worn papers, plenty of flowers, frames, bits of paper and card and stuff to please your eyes.
I have also started a range of CU/PU/S4H items at reasonable prices. Really Useful Stuff it is all called. I have made my first set a set of a dozen or so frames all in different styles. All can be added to used as they are, recolored etc., No need for credit although it is nice to receive, but i understand it isn't always possible to be that organised. At just $1.20 over the next month it is a bargain not to be missed.
These frames can be used incorporated into kits or for s4h as they are. I say create let it loose and forget it. Its from the creative mind that more flows.
There is also a new sugared jelly alpha, called Sugar Baby Alpha it is only in uppercase that can be used in any way you would like too. Some of these items are old templates of mine or experiments and I have packed them all together in kits for your use.
So have fun.

C'mon Get Happy is the theme of this months collaborative kit from Scrappingdigikreations. Take a look at the the teams contributions here. There is some great contributions this month and the color theme is fantastic and cheerfull. I made too much for one kit so I put together the spares to offer you here as an addon.
I am also releasing a new Cu product this weekend called Timeless Flowers. Careful extractions in large 300dpi resolution, these have been desaturated so you can recolor them as you would like. Also the centres have been extracted from each flower so that they may be recolored in a different color. as the fancy takes you. Very versatile as they come in seperate png files and layered psd files. These have a commercial use license(very easygoing terms, with no credit required unless you want to) Take a trip on over to Scrappindigikreations to see them first.

Sorry..

Sorry it has taken me so long to settle down and write to my blog. This past week or more I have had an early dose of 'flu. Just about recovering but a bit weak on my feet. Still I had freebies lined up here there were at least 3 links I just never got round to posting. do you know how it is? You sometimes just can't seem to fit in everything and something has to give? Most of the time I do the blog, my writing for scrapstreet, designing and layouts etc ad nauseum then suddenly I don't seem to get anything done. It's been like that the last few months.
Still here I am back again, plodding along waiting for inspiration to lighten the load from' have to do's 'to 'love to do's!!!'
So for this entry into the blog I will leave you with a couple of links for you play around with until I get into full swing again

Freeheart Mini Kit Freebie

It has been a few days since I updated my personal blog. So I thought it was about time to set up another freebie. I have been messing around with pink mostly these days. I have got to a point where this will be the last pink for a while. I have a few more bits that don't seem to belong to any kit, but I may just alter the color of those. I have been experimenting with changing colors within photoshop. There are several ways to go about it and I am compiling a simple tutorial for the use of the recoloring tool, the replacement coloring tool and any other way that mioght be relevant. So check back for the tut. I will make it up in pdf format for ease of download.
Well the freebie is a minikit I called FreeHeart it is a quite feminine kit very elegant.
At ScrappinDigiKreations and DigiScrapStation I have 50% off everything until the end of July. Even the commercial use stuff is half price. Don't forget too that all my designs are scrap4others/hire friendly.
My new designs Poppy Fields and Dragon Flower are also included in the sale

My Newest Min Kit Poppy FieldsWell I have had such a bad time with toothache and an abcess, I havent felt like doing much at all. I have been floating round the ceiling with painkillers, and finally managed to get some antibiotics from the dentist. they going to sort it out next week hopefully.
Talking of painkillers, slight digression here, I was looking for information about poppies for my new kit I am releasing, and came across the weirdest site. Telling me how to make tea from poppy stems and how like opium it is. Urggh pretty plants but that smacks of desperation. Mind you before the painkillers I might have thought it was a good idea !!!??
I have played around with some old templates and am making a new kit called Down By The Sea, whether I will ever finish it is another matter. But for now I have made a quick page of the bits I have completed, for you to play with. If you feel like it send me a link to your layout as I would love to see it, I would love to display some here, to prove to the world that people actually use them. Heehee

Home again

Well it was over all too quickly. Had fabulous weather and even better time on vacation. Sad to come home really but on the ferry home we knew we were back on old Blighty, weather changed almost immediately to heavy rain. Still as we turned into the drive here at home, there were no disasters awaiting for us like last year when the water tank in the attic had overflowed for 14 days and soaked the kitchen, utility room and hallway.. PHew we all gave a sigh of relief.
While I was away I had put a sale on within the shops I sell at, but it seems that SDK went down for the most part of the 2 weeks. So now it is back up and running I will renew the sale as soon as I am able. So if you love SDK and were waiting for the sale to start as I had heard from a little birdie, you can win out as it will be for another 2 weeks and bonus, it will have new stuff included too.
Go along right now and see my new EcoKit Happy Thoughts..sunshine and laughter are the order of the day.

You Got Teddy Trubble?

Well these naughty little teddies seem to have crept out of my graphic tablet whilst i wasn't looking. they have taken over my hard drive and imposed themselves all over this pretty kit. I just wanted a pretty teddy motif for this kit, but LOOK what I got. Some very mischeivous bears. getting into the sticky tape and tearing pages and paper, even managing to get stitched down while i wasn't concentrating. Distraction distraction. So if you want some teddies to practice disciplining and bringing up with nice manners, don't have these. If you fancy something a little different to jolly up your pages then take a look at my kit Teddy Trubble.
For those who like to try before you buy here is a free quickpage you can enjoy on me. Can't guarantee they wont get in your system too though lol. There is 20% 0f this week too, so get it while you can.Be the first to display these little teddies, be the talk of the gallery.

That Antique Vacation Freebie
.jpg)
I don't know why I didnt post a preview of the quick page I made to compliment my Antique Vacation Kit, but i am going to rectify that right now. then at least you will know what you are downloading .lol. so I am going to renew the link here. Happy vacation to you all.
I am off at the end of the month for 2 weeks on the Isle of Wight, we go every year and I love it. Lots of walks, beaches, loads of things to do if you want them, me I'm happy mooching along the beach, walking the dog and reading. With my camera and sketch pad I have no doubt my mind won't rest from design ideas. I seem to live and breathe design of all kinds. Inspiration pours in from nowhere seemingly.
I have several kits in the making at the moment. I have just finished one which should have gone on at SDK, but the site is down for maintenence after the BIG move to another host. So I shall have to prepare a couple of great exclusives for there when I come back. I have put the newbie kit on at DigiScrapStation. Its called Baby Peapod. It has just the sweetest baby motif on it.
I was thinking as I was looking over the net at different shops and sites, that money is starting to get tight. So how can I help out so that you will all be interested in still looking at my kits, but not feel they are out of reach with the tightening of purse strings. I came up with this idea of making an Eco Kit. Eco as in Economy...Same great quality and variety, but leaving out all those bits such as paperclips, brads, all the extra bits we can mix and match from what we already have. Then also instead of making up the clusters and groupings, I can cut down my work, (and by the same my costs) I can leave it to those of you who buy the kits. Half the papers, and so on. It makes a thinner file, but the ability to put it all together becomes yours. Gives the scrapper tighter control on what goes where. I thought between $2.50 and $4.00 would be a good place to start, what do you all think then? We can all win a bit then? I need to earn a bit, you need to scrap but save a bit.. so we can all come out winners.
Then of course you can always keep coming back for the freebies. Heehee I don't mind. I love making them and love to see them being used. Talking of freebies, I have a new template for you its called It's a Wrap and it is in psd format. Hope you have fun with it.

For NSD Sat 3rd May 2008

well as everyone is busy creating for NSD I thought I would join in. I made a layered template for something a bit different. if you can't open a layered .psd file then use the picture as a sketch. You get the idea. I would love you to link your layouts in the comments. The psd is here.
We are all just getting over a bug that has lasted a long time and left the whole family feeling exhausted. A really weird one for this time of year. Still the sun is shining the blossoms blooming and it looks like summer maybe on the horizon wahoooo.
Off to the Isle of Wight again this year, love it there. The beach is just on the doorstep there loads of walks for the dog and plenty of interesting things to do and see.
Hoping that you all enjoy National Scrapbook Day. Hurry along to Scrapstreet as there is fun and games and prizes all weekend long. Go and play bingo there, it is such a riot you will be stuck on your pc for hours enjoying the fun. At SDK they are having a chat and a few games, again you wil enjoy the companionship there with like minded scrappers. Digitals also have events I know I contributed a $10.00 voucher as a giveaway there. so go and take a look in their forums too, you may win yourself $10.00 to spend in my store. Anyway have a great day and really enjoy yourself.
